Insurance

Private Pay Practice

Therapeutic Advances PLLC is a private pay practice. This means Tabitha does not bill insurance directly — which allows her to provide fully confidential, client-centered care without insurance limitations on session length, diagnosis, or treatment approach.

Many clients with PPO or out-of-network benefits can be reimbursed a portion of session costs. Tabitha can provide a superbill (itemized receipt) for you to submit to your insurance company.

How to check your out-of-network benefits:
  1. Call the member services number on your insurance card
  2. Ask about out-of-network mental health benefits
  3. Ask about your deductible and reimbursement percentage
  4. Ask if a superbill is accepted for outpatient therapy

Legal Requirement

Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate

Under the No Surprises Act (effective January 1, 2022), you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining how much your mental health care will cost before you schedule services.

You have the right to receive this estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your first appointment, or anytime upon request. The Good Faith Estimate shows the cost of items and services that are reasonably expected for your care.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

To request a Good Faith Estimate, or for questions about your rights, contact Tabitha at (980) 577-3285 or visit cms.gov/nosurprises.
